Veysel, un ni\u00f1o de doce a\u00f1os, trata de librarse de su mudez traduciendo un poema turco, que puede ayudarle encontrar el modo de llegar a su adorada Ana y tambi\u00e9n ganarle el respeto de la comunidad. Adem\u00e1s de sencillez en la edici\u00f3n y nivel art\u00edstico, la pel\u00edcula logra un buen equilibrio entre su historia sencilla, contenida, y su elevado nivel de expresi\u00f3n po\u00e9tica.
